Three installation methods of keels for outdoor plastic-wood decking
Mar 26 , 2022Outdoor plastic-wood decking, as a new type of polymer composite material, is appearing more and more around you and me. It has been recognized by the vast number of users for its excellent anti-corrosion, anti-mildew and anti-aging properties, as well as the characteristics of no fading and no deformation. For installing outdoor plastic-wood flooring, keel is an indispensable key fitting; So, how do we install the keel?
1.When installing keels, the distance between keels generally depends on the thickness of plastic-wood flooring; When the thickness of plastic-wood decking is less than 25mm, the spacing between keels cannot exceed 250mm, and the maximum spacing between keels cannot exceed 400mm. Usually, when we install the keel, we will encounter the following ground conditions; 1, the ground has a concrete foundation; Make concrete leveling, and the thickness of concrete is not less than 8mm;; Then, we can directly use the plastic expansion plug to fix the plastic-wood keel on the concrete floor.
2. pure mud ground, and the decking installation surface needs to be raised, we can first excavate the foundation pit on the ground with embedded concrete and galvanized pipe columns. Under normal circumstances, the diameter and depth of the foundation pit shall not be less than 300mm, the specification of galvanized pipe used for columns shall not be less than 60*60mm, and the pipe wall thickness shall not be less than 2 mm; The span between the column and the column shall be controlled within 1800mm; After the pillar is embedded, weld galvanized pipe keel on the pillar, and the specification is recommended to be above 40*60mm.
3. When installing the suspended visiting trail plank road on the lake surface of the pond or the ecological agricultural crops of the park landscape, it is necessary to take care of flowers and plants, or when the water surface of the lake and pond cannot be drained and poured into concrete in a large area, galvanized ground screws can be directly screwed into the ground, and then galvanized pipe keels can be welded on the ground screws. If it is installed in a pond on the lake surface, or the ambient air humidity is high, it is recommended to choose hot dip galvanized square pipe to avoid corrosion.
